Eco Printing and Slow Stitch
Nature slows us down. Stitch does the rest of the work.
Part of understanding our own personal rhythms begins with a deepened, richer connection to the natural world. Through the art of printing with leaves and flowers through mordants and natural materials a vibrant, more healthful palate is created within ourselves and the space around us.
When we give nurture the environment with care and grace, we nurture ourselves.
Creating Eco Friendly Gifts
The materials used in these workshops are gentle to the earth. Instead of chemical dyes that create quicker, more predictable colours, eco printing and botanical dying will take you back to the origins of colour. Through florals and plants.
Each eco printing workshop will also give you the inspiration to design simple stitch projects. Or – use the materials created for a wall hanging! Wrap a gift naturally with re-usable cloth, produce a napkin range. Whatever you create, you will certainly find a use for it.
Available as a Full Day Workshop
This is an 8 hour in-person workshop. Mordanted fabrics will be provided, as will materials for dye blankets and leaves/flowers. Slow stitch packs will be available for purchase. Hosts – please contact us for supplies required from you for steaming fabrics.
